Hanger Prosthetics: Dolphin Tales

Hanger Inc, who partnered with the Harold and Kayrita Family Foundation to bring help, hope and healing to victims of the 2010 Haitian earthquake, is in the news with another inspiring story.

In 2005, a little dolphin named Winter lost her tail after a nearly-fatal encounter with a crab trap. In 2006, Kevin Carroll, vice president of prosthetics at Hanger and an expert prosthetist heard her story and took steps to restore her mobility with an artificial tail.
